Atlas was commissioned to design and prepare construction documents for major
upgrades to its varsity stadium, Cronin Field. The existing stadium, constructed in 1956, was showing
its age and the expanded athletic program required improved facilities.
Jesuit desired to provide a state of the art facility for football, soccer and
track programs. Although spectator facilities, and cosmetic improvements were included in the
project, the main focus of the effort was to provide a technically superior arena for competitive sports.
